Thanksgiving Day Blessings

It’s Thanksgiving Day, and despite some challenging times this past year, I have much to be thankful for.

Here’s my list of blessings. I've spared you all a long one, so you can get back to your love ones, eat more and watch football. (#GoHawks)
  1. My health. Eating a healthy diet and staying active are still an uphill battle for me but I’m taking it one day at a time. As long as I’m alive and able, I have no excuses. #trainingforlife #wherestheturkey
  2. My family. My dad, my siblings, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins have been a pillar of support, encouragement and comfort these past few years. I’m blessed for all 60+ of them! #ittakesavillage
  3. My Seattle family. Living in a city without any family members, one builds one own family. In the past few years, I’m blessed to build a strong community with people who I can count on for comfort, for a drink, for a ride, for a good laugh, for a home-cooked meal, for a heart-to-heart chat and for PAC-12 cable access (Go Ducks!). #whosupforhappyhour
  4. My friends and Facebook. I met so many wonderful people in my life who are living all over the world. I’m thankful for Facebook for allowing me to keep in touch and to continue to exchange glimpses of our lives throughout the years. #smallworld
  5. My cat. Lady is a great companion, despite the fact she operates on her own schedule and mood. Not very much a lap cat, but she will sit near and watch TV together. She’s also forgiving when I leave her for the weekend.  #feedme
  6. My coworkers. Being a project manager can be thankless job. Recently, I was recognized as an “All Star” for Q3, or as I described it for my dad, the marketing department employee of the quarter.  So, I’m thankful the hard work and long hours have been recognized my colleagues. #herdingcats
  7. My job. I have one.  One that’s in my career and flexible enough to allow me time off around the holidays. And it’s one that can afford me to live in a cozy apartment, put gas in my compact car, buy groceries for Lady and I, pay the bills, hang out with friends and even put a little away for retirement.  #rathermarryrich #silverliningseries
Happy Thanksgiving!
