I turn 37 today. I can't believe I'm almost 40. I know I have a few more years, but it's so much closer than I realize! For now, I can't think about the opportunities and challenges the upcoming decade may have in store for me; I need to focus on the upcoming year.
This year is going to be about closure. A year where I'm going to focus on tying up loose ends, sewing up open wounds, and letting go. It's not going to be easy though.
When heartbreaks are deep, it's not easy to bury them and move on. The experiences have made me become a stronger person; however, it's about time to unlock myself from those emotional chains that have imprisoned me these past few years.
I have 364 days to work on a plan on breaking free. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy my last day in one of my favorite cities, New York!
