I’m the first to admit that I don’t know much about cars. I just know I should pump gas when the light comes on, get an oil change every 3,000 miles, and rotate my tires every once in a while. Besides, my dream car is an Audi TT because of how cute it looks.

| This is the Audi TT 2.0TDI Quattro. Isn't it cute?!? |
However, after weathering the frigid temperatures this past week, I’m grateful for cars—especially the working ones with heat! More specifically, my little red Corolla. Because it has gotten me from Point A to Point B when I needed it the most—getting me safely home from Seattle to Portland for Thanksgiving.
So, this year, I’m thankful for my car. Because it got me closer to the people I love.

| 2004 Toyota Corolla CE. My little Corolla looks similar, but it doesn't have the fancy spoiler, the shine or ever been parked in such a scenic location. |
Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing everyone safe travels—whether it’s by car, train, plane, boat or foot!

Metal Horse is what Chinese referred to cars way back in the days. Don't quote me since what I know of Chinese history is through Hong Kong serials and movies!)

“When the iron bird flies, and horses run on wheels, the Dharma will come to the land of the red faced people”
Padma Sambhava, eighth-century Indian guru and founder of the first Tibetan monastery, said this a long-ass time ago. The first Buddhist stupa was built in the US the same year as the first airplane (iron bird) flight (1903). Just FYI. js nbd.
