29 no more

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY, BONNIE!

On February 23, my little sister turned 30. February 23 also marks the day my 20s are over. For real. I mean, how I can go around believing I'm still 29 when my little sister is actually 30?

I'm excited for my sister as she begins another decade of new adventures, but I'm also a little sad as I mourn my 20s. My 20s were filled with innocence, boundless energy and endless nights. Now in my 30s, I'm filled caution, reserved energy, and nights that ends around 11 PM.

For many, 30s aren't even a mid-life point and I'm thinking like I'm over the hill already. I so need to get it together! Where should I start? Any suggestions?

Hey V, 30 is the new 20, you know! :) Just put on a cute little outfit and some makeup & go out with your hubby & pretend you're not so OLD. :) That's my advice. :) Or turn on some "young" music at home and just DANCE! :) (you know, like maybe that old Paula Abdoul album that you and Melissa put on your answering machine at U of O...remember that one?) :)

You're only as old as you think. I am probably in the best shape of my life right now and can run circles around girls 10 years younger. Even if I can't, I believe I can and that makes all the difference...but I really can...most guys, too! Yeah, baby!

You are only as old (or young) as you think you are. I'd like to think we are just getting more mature, and more experience as we age. The most important thing is being young at heart.
