Thankful, part 2

This annual Chan Family Thanksgiving was similar to the years past-filled with family, food, and good times.

This year, family #3 hosted the lunch-time festivities at their restaurant in Silverton, Ore., and provided all the food, including the turkey, ham, roast beef and a buffet of side dishes and desserts. After stuffing our faces, us cousins escaped clean-up as the little ones took over—a break before getting back to their own shenanigans.

Afterward, most of us went over to Aunt #3 (Aunt Ida) and Uncle #3 (Uncle Raymond)’s house. The adults quickly escaped to quiet rooms already set-up with mahjong. The guys took over the dining room table with Texas Hold ‘Em. A small group found an empty room to play Taboo. The rest of us hung out in the living room to chat, keep the little ones entertained, play Wii games, or just to recover from overeating.

Good times! You can check out the photos from this year’s Chan Family Thanksgiving gathering here.

It's nice to see the little ones running around too, it means the parents now can finally enjoy the gathering instead of constantly worry about changing diapers or bottle feeding.
